We work with entrepreneurs and small business owners at various stages of their journey. This includes individuals preparing to start a business, business owners seeking to grow or expand, and entrepreneurs interested in acquiring an existing business.
Our work is especially focused on supporting community-based and underserved business owners who may not have had clear access to capital information or guidance.
Regardless of background or experience, we believe every entrepreneur deserves the opportunity to understand capital access and make informed decisions about their future.
Capital access is not a single step, it is a process. We guide entrepreneurs through a clear, structured framework designed to build understanding, readiness, and confidence at every stage.
We begin by helping business owners understand how capital works and what options exist based on their business stage. From there, we focus on preparation ensuring entrepreneurs know how to position their businesses, strengthen financial readiness, and avoid common funding mistakes. Finally, we help navigate funding pathways and support the intentional use of capital as a tool for sustainable growth and long-term wealth building.
We work alongside community organizations, nonprofits, economic development agencies, and other partners who share a commitment to supporting small business growth.
Our role is to complement existing programs by providing capital access guidance and readiness support. Through collaboration, we help ensure entrepreneurs receive consistent, trusted information and access to the resources they need to succeed.
After graduating college, Kay began her career in investment banking, where she gained firsthand experience with capital markets, financial structures, and the role access to capital plays in driving business growth.
After several years in the industry, she transitioned into the entertainment industry while also beginning her entrepreneurial journey by building a real estate portfolio. Through this work, she learned how to strategically use capital as leverage to acquire assets, create opportunity, and unlock additional growth.
Through her own experience, Kay recognized that many entrepreneurs lack not only access to capital, but also clear, practical guidance on how capital works and how to prepare for it responsibly.
In 2025, she founded The Ath Group to help entrepreneurs understand funding options, build capital readiness, and use capital intentionally as a tool for sustainable growth and long-term wealth creation.
Today, Kay focuses on guiding small business owners through the complexities of capital access, helping them make informed decisions, connect with trusted resources, and grow their businesses with confidence and clarity.
